Are you a night owl visiting Hatteras Island in 2019? Well, you won't find a disco and you won't find many places open past 9:00pm on this quiet little island get-away, so we've taken the time to map out a night life guide for those who just "got to boogie".

Fun Hatteras Activities

Frisco is a largely residential village, blossoming with nature and wildlife, and lined with miles of open beaches. With plenty to do, Frisco keeps people returning to Hatteras Island year after year!

While Avon is quietly nestled between significant stretches of untouched seashore, it is also a well-known hot spot, jamming with Hatteras Island hustle and bustle.
Once known as “Clark”, Salvo is the third most northern village on Hatteras Island, and the most southern of the locally coined “Tri-Villages”. Quiet and peaceful, this tiny town is chock-full of history and perfect for a nice day on the water.
Waves is the middle of the locally coined “Tri-Villages” on Hatteras Island. A quaint fishing village, the area has amassed a large kiteboarding following. We recommend touring the village of Waves on an optimal weather day as the plethora of outdoor explorations is endless!
Rodanthe is the most northern village on Hatteras Island, so depending on the location of your vacation rental home, it could be up to a 45 minute to one hour trek to get there from the southern end. That being said, it’s worth the drive, bike or walk there.
We may not have a Walmart or any other chain super-stores, but Hatteras Island does boast several unique shops, both locally owned and exclusive to this area, which you can find treasures outside of the box-store norm.
When the paint is on the walls and your staple pieces are in place, the fun part begins. Making your coastal look feel like home is all about the textiles you choose. Like I've said before, no matter what your style, there is always room for the beach.
