Is there ORV access in Hatteras Village?

Yes, Ramp 55 is located in Hatteras Village, just across from the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. Just keep in mind that an ORV beach driving permit is required, and dates and times of use restrictions are set by the National Park Service.

Do you need tickets to visit the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum?

While donations are always appreciated, admission to the museum is actually free. With a great space for kids, this is a wonderful free activity that the entire family can enjoy.

Is there a public beach access in Hatteras that doesn’t require an ORV permit?

Yes, one of the easiest public access points would be across from the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and next to Ramp 55. Free parking is available with a nice access that includes a wide boardwalk and handrails, which is convenient for folks with limited mobility.

Is there a place that I can book a chartered fishing trip?

Yes, Hatteras Landing has two full-service marinas, Hatteras Landing Marina and Teach’s Lair Marina that both offer a variety of half-day and full-day, onshore and offshore, fishing charters.
